The Joys of Parenthood are Summed up in This Video and Meme

No parent can ever be prepared for the onslaught of wee, poo and vomit they will have inflicted on them by their children. Changing a nappy can be a breeze or a nightmare, depending on what has been dealt.

Every parent will have a horror story of their kid doing something gross in public.

You’re lucky if it happens at home, because at least you can clean yourself and your kid up in the privacy of your home.

I still chuckle when I think about my husband carrying one of our daughters from the beach back to our hotel. The salt water had caused our little darling to do a number three in her swimming nappy. Just so you know, those swimming nappies do bugger all to soak up poo lava when it’s been wet from swimming. My poor husband had thought the wetness dripping down his hand and legs was from a wet child. Until he could smell something funky. And his hand had turned a different shade of brown. He rushed through the foyer of the hotel and couldn’t get into a lift fast enough to get to our room to clean the mess up.

While mums can get dealt nappy blowouts and will be the first to catch a vomit in their hands, sometimes our kids will save their best eruption for their dad.

Like this dad, who was tenderly talking to his baby. It was a sweet moment until the baby let off the most epic projectile vomit in dad’s face.

The Buzz Video was shared on Pretty 52’s Facebook page with the caption, “The joys of parenthood summed up in one video… wait for it”

The video was shared over 9,000 times and received over 14,000 reactions.

One commenter said, “I think he should have been burped before he was laid down..”

Another meme that has gone viral on Facebook is this one.

Titled, “If you think you’re ready for kids, take a look at this. You’re welcome.”

I think that’s the worst turd trail I’ve ever seen.

And the first comment said what every parent thought when they saw the picture.

“Well maybe if he was wearing a diaper that would of never happened everyone knows to keep the diaper on.”

No truer words.

While we love our kids to death, sometimes they can be so gross!

What’s the worst mess your kid has inflicted on you? Can you share another ‘joy of parenting’ moment that keeps parenthood real? We’d love to hear your stories.
