Facebook Post Goes Viral After Dad Sends Baby to Daycare Without a Shirt on

Dads’ can often have a different way of doing things and it always seems to work, much to our amusement as mums.

One mum in Indiana was amused by her husband’s blunder, she shared it on Facebook and the post went viral with over 50,000 views.

Brooke Hawley-Basso had to go to a morning job interview and left her husband Jeremy, responsible for getting their two children ready for the day. Baby Olivia needed to be dressed and dropped to daycare.

Mrs Hawley-Basso arrived at daycare at the end of the day to find Olivia was dressed in navy overalls and no shirt.

The amused mum sent a text to her husband asking if he sent their daughter to daycare without a shirt on.

‘Uh. I sent her with that thing on,’ responded her husband with an expressionless emoji, referring to the overalls.

‘Supposed to wear a shirt under overalls,’ Mrs Hawley-Basso replied.

The dad sent another expressionless emoji face and replied, ‘I gotta plead ignorance here’.

The mother-of-two did what many mums do when they catch their husband on a comical parenting faux pas; she shared the photo and a copy of the text messages on Facebook.

She captioned the post, ‘My darling husband Jeremy got the baby dressed and took her to daycare this morning. This is how things went down when I picked her up! ‪#‎daddyfail’

Despite the outfit, Olivia was happy in her one-piece and was happy to have some photos snapped in her ‘breezy’ outfit.

Mrs Hawley-Basso told the Daily Mail, ‘He thought it was a tank top of some sort because I didn’t have it hanging up with the shirt.

‘So next time, I’ll lay the clothes out for him.’

Mrs Hawley-Basso didn’t expect the snap to go viral and said, ‘It has been so overwhelming! We never imagined that it would take off so fast. We thought it was hilarious too to see so many others have similar situations.’

Her husband laughs about the mishap and has now passed on clothing duty to mum.

‘He laughs at himself about it and says that this is reason enough that I will always dress the baby from now on!’
