If you loved the books Go the F*** to Sleep (2011) and You Have to F***ing Eat, (2014), you may like this new picture book that’s only for adults ‘Nobody like a C**kblock.’
The 32-page illustrated book is most definitely not for children, even if it does appear to look innocent with it’s imagery similar the popular ‘I Love You’ or Peter Rabbit book series. This new book tackles the issue of bedtime shenanigans for parents.
The storyline is based on a frustrated parent whose sexual advances toward their spouse is blocked by alert interlopers.
An excerpt from the book reads, “The stars are out, it’s dark outside. I can see that there’s sleep inside of your eyes,”
“Stay warm in your bed, on our door do not knock. Because nobody likes a c**kblock.”
Author R. Swanson who is a parent to three children and likes to remain partially anonymous said, “I love the word ‘c**kblock’ and think it fits young children perfectly.”
“They know just how to make sure their parents aren’t getting any. I felt like this story needed to be told.”
Parents will definitely get a giggle from this read. Just don’t place it on your child’s book shelf.
