Six Year Old Girl’s Plea Asking Her Divorced Parents To Get Along Has Touched The Hearts Of People Around The World

A video of the heartfelt pleas of six year old Tiana begging her divorced parents to get along has gone viral this week after touching the hearts of people around the world.

Tiana’s Mum Cherish Sherry from Surrey in Canada, shared the video of her daughter’s advice to herself and her ex-husband on Facebook and the three minute lecture has since been viewed more than six million times.

Cherish explains the video took place after Tiana allegedly interrupted an argument between Cherish and her ex husband and Tiana  took Cherish aside to ask her to try and get along with her Dad.

In the video Tiana asks “Mom, are you ready to be his friend? Try not to be that hight up [Tiana gestures up high with her hands] to be friends, I want everything to be low. Just try your best… I don’t want you and my dad to be replaced an meanies again. I want you and my dad to be placed and settled and be friends.”

Tiana continues by explaining: “I’m not trying to be mean. I just want everyone to be friends. And if I can be nice, I think all of us can be nice too….. I want my mom, my dad, everyone, to be friends. I want everyone to be smiling.”

At the end of the video Cherish thanks Tiana and they share a hug and a kiss.  Cherish admits Tiana’s words were a wake up call and they bought her to tears.  Cherish says “I was stunned by it.. She is teaching me. Woke me up.”

Cherish took to her Facebook page to thank everyone for all of their support and messages saying:

“I just want to say Thank you to all of the sweet messages for my daughter Tiana.  As a single mom working 2 jobs it’s hard to find the time to reply to everyone.”

She has a super sweet tooth and enjoying a slice of cake (or two) is one of her guilty indulgences. As a Mum of two little boys, when she isn't creating fun activities for the kids or breaking up arguments over toy trucks and cars, you will find her in the kitchen baking up a storm - or hiding in the pantry with the latest cooking magazine and a hot cup of coffee!
